How Payments Work
Pagevaro payments are processed by PayFast. Card details never reach Pagevaro, every payment is verified before anything is activated, and you get an emailed receipt and a VAT invoice.
Is it safe to pay Pagevaro online?
Yes. Pagevaro payments are processed by PayFast, a South African payment gateway. You enter your card or other payment details on PayFast’s secure payment page, so Pagevaro never sees or stores your card number.
How does Pagevaro know my payment went through?
After you pay, PayFast notifies Pagevaro directly. Pagevaro checks that the notification is signed with its private PayFast passphrase, confirms it with PayFast’s own servers, and checks that the amount matches your order before anything is activated.
Does my plan activate automatically after payment?
Yes. There is no manual approval step. As soon as PayFast’s notification is verified, your plan is activated, a paid VAT invoice is created in your Billing page and you receive a confirmation in your dashboard, usually within a minute or two of paying.
Will I get proof of payment?
Yes. Pagevaro emails a receipt to the person who paid, showing what was paid for, the payment date, the PayFast payment reference, the invoice number, the VAT included and the total. The VAT invoice can also be viewed and downloaded as a PDF from Billing at any time.
What do Pagevaro plans cost?
Plans are billed monthly in South African rand: Launch R99, Business R250 and Pro R400. Prices include 15% VAT and there is no setup fee. Domain registration is charged separately at cost.
What happens when I buy a domain through Pagevaro?
You pay for the domain through PayFast. Once the payment is verified, Pagevaro registers the domain, starts connecting it to your website automatically and emails you a receipt.
What if a payment fails or is cancelled?
Nothing is activated and Pagevaro does not charge you. You can return to Billing and try again, or contact Pagevaro support for help.
